                             National Integration--
                            -----------------------

Essay on National Integration- National Integration is always the priority of our constitution. Moreover, the world knows us for our national integration, yet having such diversities in culture. When our country was under British rule, they disintegrated our people by various norms and policies. Moreover, they always played the divide and rule policy. As a result, the people of our country could never come together. And the British men would take advantage of it.

           The Meaning of National Integration

The actual meaning of National integration is National Togetherness. Furthermore, it says that people are the citizens of India first. Irrespective of their caste, creed, color, and sex. India is a country of diverse cultures, where people follow different religions. But still we all are one and it is our national duty to regard ourselves as true Indians.

Furthermore, the motive of our constitution is to support unity in diversity. Which means that we should maintain unity yet being diverse in individual identities. Moreover, as a true Indian, the country should be our first priority. And we should be ready to put our individual selves at stake at the moment of crisis.

                    Problems of National Integration

There are various problems that threaten the National Integration of India. Some of them are:

Religion disputes: Our India is a country of different religions, thus some anti-social elements try to spread religion disputes. So that their own motives get fulfilled. This has always been a major problem for society. To avert this, the government took steps. Many laws and bills were introduced in the houses of the parliament on this matter. Some bills came into action only a few years ago.

Caste: Though it is now the 21st century and the people have become modern. But still, there are some places in the country where illiteracy is prevalent. As a result, people have not upgraded themselves from caste-based discrimination. The difference between the upper caste and the lower caste still divides our society. But, the reservations for scheduled caste and scheduled tribes have provided them an opportunity in the employment sector.

Discrimination based on Gender: The difference between a male and a female still persists in our society. In this era where women have such great achievements in every field, still in some sections of our community, a man is always termed as superior to women. Furthermore, the government took various steps to provide women with their basic rights. The abolishment of the dowry system, legal actions against domestic violence. Above all, quotas in the houses of parliament. This has done some major changes in upgrading the position of women in our society.

The barrier between the rich and the poor: India is the second most populated country in the entire world. Therefore the people are not getting proper employment. Because the ratio of the people and the jobs vary a lot. In an approximation, there are almost 50 candidates for one single job. The fields of engineering and management have already been overly filled. Due to this various fresher with degrees in hand are roaming unemployed. Thus this the difference between the rich and the poor is increasing over the years. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer day by day.
